🐶 Doggy Day Out Program

 

Ever wanted to give a shelter dog a break from the shelter for the day? Our Doggy Day Out Program allows community members to take one of our adoptable dogs out for a fun adventure!

This is a new and permanent volunteer opportunity for members of our community who want to help our shelter dogs get some time outside the kennel.

Participants can take a dog out for one hour, a few hours, or even an overnight sleepover, depending on the dog and availability. These outings give our dogs a chance to decompress, experience new environments, and show off their personalities outside of the shelter.

Getting dogs out into the community and sharing them in public helps them get noticed and adopted faster. When people see them enjoying life outside of a kennel, it helps potential adopters picture them in a home.

📸 One of the requirements of participating is taking photos during your outing with the dog. These photos help us showcase our adoptable dogs on social media and give them more exposure to potential adopters.

Requirements to participate:
• Must be 19 years or older
• Must bring a valid driver’s license
• Must sign a liability waiver
• Dogs must be returned at the agreed-upon time
• Participants must take photos during their outing with the dog

Taking a dog out for the day may seem like a small thing, but it can make a huge difference for a shelter dog. ❤️
