3.  Put a sign in your yard notifying passer-bys and neighbors that your pet is missing.
4.  Don't just call your local shelter, visit to see if your pet is there.     
     Sometimes the description given is not enough for shelter employees to form a clear picture of what animals they are watching for.
 
We welcome you to come in "daily" if you'd like to see if your pet has been turned in.
